Biography

Alan Johnson, a Georgia Tech alumnus with a degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering, has been actively involved in the startup ecosystem in Atlanta since graduating in 2018. Currently, he works at Flock Safety, one of the fastest-growing companies in the U.S., where he contributes to the mission of eliminating crime. Alan plays a pivotal role in the company’s strategic planning process, working on key projects that help solve approximately 14% of U.S. crime annually.

With a strong background in data science, Alan has transitioned into leadership within strategy and analytics. Alongside his professional endeavors, he is pursuing a master’s in Operations Research at Georgia Tech and is about halfway through the program. Residing in Buckhead with his wife, Heather, a fellow Georgia Tech graduate, Alan remains committed to making a positive impact in his community and advancing public safety through innovative technology solutions.
